The attached lesson uses different stations to teach the class about political ideology. You will notice that this lesson differentiates to reach each student's level, and the various methods used at the five stations gave students a break from the New American Lecture they were accustomed to. During this lesson, behavior problems were non-existent because students only had six and a half minutes at each station, prompted by a timer pulled up on the interactive board, which held them accountable for their work. |
If you're looking for some great ways to incorporate some different technology in your classroom, I'm a huge fan of Educreations and Prezi. Educreations is like talking over a PowerPoint, and you can draw with a stylus while you teach the lesson.
