Today Meghan and I taught one of our classes about the Aboriginal people of Australia in the early 20th century. Since we showed a film, our class stayed in the computer lab for the duration of the period, since the lab has a projector. After thirty minutes of film, we began discussing questions with students. I had planned to write the questions on the classroom blackboard, but the lab has a new smart board that summoned me to it.
I've used active boards before - they're in every classroom back home.
But this board was different.
I wrote and wrote to my hearts content. We changed colors, pen styles, and even made designs. U erased and rewrote and erased some more. Then, Meghan (Ms. Althauser) completely blew my mind when she used her hand to draw a box around what we had written and made it bigger. My mind was blown! I sure do love technology!
