I am a horrible blogger! So sorry for not making a post within the last few days. After getting back from Berlin, I began teaching more classes at AFG. In fact, today I taught a group of 7th graders about my hometown and a group of 10th graders about shock commercials so they can make their own. I will not be at school tomorrow because Meghan and I are on the way to Hamburg, but when I get back Monday I will teach another class, too.
Last night was very busy, I got to see water polo for the first time and I made an American meal for my host family. Anna invited me to come to water polo practice and I must say – that is a hard sport. Constantly staying afloat, swimming, and throwing a ball. Then, catching the ball one handed. After water polo, we came home and I made an “American” dinner. Simone’s brother and sister-in-law came over, too. After all, who doesn’t love meatloaf, corn, mashed potatoes, and peas? After eating, Simone asked for the recipe so I’m taking that as a good sign.
Like I said, I’m currently sitting on a train traveling through Germany. As with most new things I try, I made a list of said experience.

- People watching at the train station is more entertaining than at the airport.
- Like the plane, a gentleman goes up and down the aisle offering food and drinks (for a price, of course).
- My seat is larger than on the plane, and you don’t have to sit through the boring flight attendant monologue about how to buckle your seat belt.
- Meghan is a professional traveler.
- I am not.
